After carefully reviewing the self-evaluation reports, the assessment team conducted the site visits. They had an extensive communication with teachers, students, administrative staff, affiliated medical institutions and related agencies. They analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of their medical education against the Standards, and proposed suggestions .
Based on the information, the assessment teams drafted preliminary reports and fed back to to schools at the end of the site visits. After site visits, the accreditation teams will prepare the final accreditation reports within two months. They should ask schools for confirmation of the accuracy of the factual materials and data. After that, the final accreditation reports should be submitted to and reviewed by the WCAME.
During the site visits, the assessment teams and the accredited schools overcame the impact of COVID-19, united as one, and completed the accreditation of this year with high quality and efficiency. During the epidemic, China successfully carried out site visits, which provided a strong guarantee for substantially equivalent promotion of quality evaluation of medical education.
