On September 27th,2020, the Ministry of Education Seminar on Accreditation of Medical Education and Trainings for Secretariats ended successfully. 60 members including the 2020 assessment team chair, the deputy team chair, secretaries and project managers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xie Ana Secretary-General of Working Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Education (WCAME) .
First of all, xie Ana, informed the participants of the requirements ofOperational Guidelines for the Routine Prevention and Control of COVID-19 in the on-site accreditationfrom the Higher Education Teaching Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Educations, and emphasized several matters about on-site investigation during the pandemic.
Professor Wang Weimin, Chairman of WCAME, briefed the experts on the purpose and significance of the preliminary accreditation report, how to write it, frequently asked questions and written methods. Subsequently, experts at the meeting had a heated discussion and exchange on the content, presentation and writing basis of the two preliminary accreditation report cases.
Finally, Li Man, the Secretary office director of WCAME, sorted out the responsibilities of the accreditation team secretaries and the project managers. Moreover, a brief explanation was given to the significant issues in the process of setting up the on-site visit schedule and the operation and use of the accreditation system. The common problems in writing the report and the related content of the on-site visit fund management were also explained.
This meeting was devoted to the writing of accreditation reports to ensure the reports can play the role of critical feedback and evaluation, and promote the development of medical education. The secretarial training session focused on specific issues, further clarified the responsibilities of the secretaries and made full preparations for the smooth conduct of future accreditation.
