On June 30, 2017, the working conference of the secretariat of the Working Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Education was successfully held in Beijing.
At the beginning, the results of electronic voting from members of the Working Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Education on accreditation conclusions of 13 colleges and universities were announced. The preliminary visit team introduced the situation of the preliminary visits to two schools in the first half of 2017. The participants discussed if these two schools should be formally site visited or not.
In April 2017, the application for the accreditation in 2018 is organized. During the meeting, members of the secretariat working group discussed the application materials of 11 colleges and universities including Shihezi University and Harbin Medical University etc., and exchanged views on the issues found during the materials review.
In the last session, the participants had a discussion on the further development of the accreditation of medical education.
